5 Cafes Creatives Can Work From if You’re Tired of Working From Home

Working from home is great and all, but there are just some days when you feel like you need a change of working scenery. You sense the urge to get out of the house and have those creative juices flowing, and NO, working from Starbucks is just too mainstream and doesn’t cut it!

If you’re nodding your head to the above statement, do read on! We’ve got you covered Creative Girlbosses, as here are our top 5 favourite cafe picks where you can get good ambiance, decent Wifi, great food plus coffee while you get your job done! A change in environment does wonders once in awhile.

1. Bean Brothers

First on our list is Bean Brothers located in Kota Damansara. This is a Korean operated coffee place houses two floors and has a warehouse like design. It is filled with natural lighting, has free running Wifi, serves great coffee and is one of the most spacious cafes we’ve ever been to. All you need to do is find your favourite corner and get those brain juice going!

2. VCR

Yes, this may sound familiar as we’ve featured them before! We did a brunch photoshoot with Yukiko here at VCR and there’s so much to love about this space. It hosts a vintage meets modern design, it is relatively quiet on the weekdays, and parts of the cafe overlooks lush greenery – perfect for those zen working days.

3. Lorem Ipsum

I know what you’re thinking and no, we are not referring to the phrase that describes a placeholder for desktop publishing text, but rather this Instagram worthy cafe situated along Jalan Bangkung!

This cafe encourages creativity on a whole new level as you are greeted with a painting, perched neatly on an easel in front of the entrance on the second floor. At Lorem Ipsum, besides working and sipping on your cup of Joe, you can participate in art jamming sessions that are constantly held at the cafe. Supplies like easels, canvasses and brushes are provided as you decide to do acrylic painting. Do check with the cafe on schedules and charges for these activities.

4. Feeka Coffee Roasters

According to Feeka’s Facebook Page, the name Feeka is derived from a Swedish term that means “have a break with a drink and some food”. Apparently it does not mean taking a quick caffeine break from work, but rather as a welcome pause that is part of a productive day.

We sure like the sound of that as we appreciate productive work days! The warm and inviting ambiance is great for appointments, not to mention a social media staple for any creative.

Sudo’s coffee starts from as low as RM5.00 and even have cubicles for those who want privacy while doing their work, what’s not to love!
